Before You Begin

Before claiming ECX, make sure you have access to your Ledger device, know the PIN code, and have securely stored your 24-word recovery phrase.

You will also need an ECX destination address. This can be created using an ECX wallet or obtained from an exchange that supports ECX deposits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Ledger support ECX?

Ledger protects your Bitcoin keys. Your eligibility for ECX depends on the Bitcoin addresses controlled by your Ledger wallet at the time of the official snapshot.

Do I need Ledger Live?

Ledger Live can help you view your Bitcoin accounts and addresses. Depending on the final claim implementation, additional steps may be required during the claim process.

Should I use the Claim Checker first?

Yes. The ECX Claim Checker is the recommended starting point because it allows you to verify your eligibility using only a public Bitcoin address.

Can I skip the Claim Checker?

Yes. If you already know that your Ledger wallet is eligible, you may proceed directly to the Official ECX Claim Tool.

Which claim method should Ledger users choose?

Ledger users should generally choose the Recovery Phrase option in the Official ECX Claim Tool, provided that this matches the official claim instructions for the supported wallet.

Can I claim multiple Ledger accounts?

If your Ledger device manages multiple eligible Bitcoin addresses or accounts, the claim process will follow the official ECX distribution rules. Refer to the latest project guidance if account-specific behavior is documented.

Ready to Claim Your ECX?

Start with a public address check, then continue to the official ECX claim tool when you are ready.
