The ECX Claim Checker Has Officially Launched

Today we are launching the Official ECX Claim Checker, a simple tool designed to help Bitcoin holders verify whether their Bitcoin addresses qualify for an ECX allocation after the official Bitcoin snapshot.

The checker provides a fast and straightforward way to confirm eligibility before starting the claim process.

Unlike the Claim Tool, the checker does not perform ownership verification or initiate a claim. Its purpose is to help users understand whether a Bitcoin address qualifies for an ECX allocation.

How the ECX Claim Checker Works

Using the checker is simple.

  • Open the ECX Claim Checker.
  • Enter your public Bitcoin address.
  • Click Check Eligibility.
  • Review your eligibility status and estimated ECX allocation (if applicable).

The process takes only a few seconds and can be repeated for as many Bitcoin addresses as you wish.

Only a Public Bitcoin Address Is Required

One of the most common questions we receive is whether users need to enter a private key.

The answer is no.

The ECX Claim Checker only requires a public Bitcoin address.

A public Bitcoin address is visible on the Bitcoin blockchain and is safe to use for eligibility verification.

The checker never asks for:

  • Private Keys
  • Recovery (Seed) Phrases
  • Wallet Passwords
  • Hardware Wallet PINs

If any website requests this information while claiming to be an "eligibility checker," users should treat it as suspicious and verify that they are using the official Claim eCash website.

Check Multiple Bitcoin Addresses

Many Bitcoin users manage funds across multiple addresses.

The ECX Claim Checker allows you to verify each address individually.

This makes it easy to identify which addresses are eligible before proceeding to the official claim process.

What Happens After Checking?

If an address is eligible, the next step is to complete the official ECX claim process.

Users can choose the method that matches their wallet and follow the instructions provided in the Claim Center.

The dedicated Claim Tool supports ownership verification using the appropriate method for the wallet being used.

Built with Security in Mind

Security has been a priority in the design of the ECX Claim Checker.

The checker is intentionally separated from the claim process.

Its only purpose is to verify eligibility using publicly available blockchain information.

Because no wallet credentials are required, users can safely check their Bitcoin addresses before deciding whether to continue with the claim.
